I bought this for my girlfriend as an Xmas present. I wanted to get her a side bag, messenger style, but I didn't want to get her anything too "utility" looking like a Timbuk2 or a Chrome (both great quality brands, I'm not knocking them at all) and nothing along the lines of the "trendy" leather type messenger bags that look like thin bowling bags with shoulder straps on them. I also wanted something she could use as an everyday purse and/or as a satchel when needed. I think the Simple bag solved the dilemma quite nicely. It feels really sturdy and durable, the organic cotton has a great mesh/canvas feel to it, the main compartment it really roomy, it would be perfect as a school bag I think, the inside pocket holds your mp3 player, and there's a little porthole for your headphones, so you don't have to leave the zipper open, and the front zipper pocket is large enough to hold a bunch of necessary stuff like phone/pocketbook/keys, etc. She loves it and won't use anything else, unless she wants to dress fancy. Now I have to wait for Simple to come up with a fancy looking bag that I can buy for her.

I am a frequent traveler (about 200,000 miles a year) and I was looking for a bag to replace my tired carry-on. I had used several Timbuk2 messenger bags and thought I'd try this out. The bag looks great, typical Timbuk2 style and fabrics. Size is great for carry-on and it fits nicely into overhead bins on normal aircraft (not "express" regional jets). I would, however, not buy this bag again. It is poorly engineered and has several critical flaws that make it very difficult to use. First, it is not designed to be fully packed; when the main compartment is full the second top compartment can hardly hold anything. In addition, when the bag is full the bag "tweaks" in such a way the handle cannot be raised or lowered. The bag also tends to open itself when full. Secondly, the bag deformed around the wheel and a wheel fell off within one month (about 6 trips). This bag looks good and works well if used lightly and not packed full. I would not recommend for a frequent traveler or someone who tends to fill a bag to its limit. I had much better experience with Osprey products.

Great for travel - The adjustable straps make it easy to adjust the bag to your body and to the environment. I used this bag while traveling and found it to be just the right size for running around during the day. It does scratch up - but I found the teal colored one to be ok with the scratches.

Great Bag - I bought this bag in the Oxblood color. It is a deep red and is exactly the red that I have been looking for. The bag is very lightweight, which is nice once all my stuff is loaded up. I love the "dangle" things that are on the side of the bag; adds just the right touch. The bag is also very comfortable to carry and stays put on my shoulder.

Great Bag. I just got this a little while ago, and while I haven't gotten to use it very much (Besides testing it out), I love it! The straps are comfortable, and my 15.4" laptop fits in there just fine (a little tight, due to a larger battery). The inside details are cute, and I'm overall thrilled! Great Bag In All Colors! I have this bag in the color beach and purchased the black. It is butter soft, fits perfectly on my shoulder, and has plenty of storage for all my needs. The only thing I wish on this bag is that it had a ziptop instead of a magnetic closure. Otherwise it's a real value for the money!

Great bag/purse - I ordered this bag to use as a purse/carry-on bag for my trip to Hawaii. I used it for my carry-on for the plane and then emptied it out a bit for a purse the rest of the trip. I loved it! It has plenty of room and was just the right size to work for both purposes. Very sturdy and I know it will last a long time. Strap is plenty long to wear across your body. Great and versatile bag. Especially love the side pockets where I could put a water bottle. Main pocket area is quite big, so sometimes you have to really dig around for your things, but overall the bag is comfortable. I took it to travel through China and now use if full time at home.
